In the battlefield of life I have invoked You
With an eager heart hundreds of times,
     yet I have not seen You even once.
In vain I have been crying, Mother.
Give me the strength to bear endless sorrows
     and endless pangs.
If You do not show me Your Soul-Form,
     how can I offer You my heart’s devotion?
